Get started

After installing the plugin, you need to perform the initial setup.

  1. Go to Apps → Manage apps.
  2. In the left-hand menu, find the list of installed applications and select ChatBridge for JSM.

This opens the plugin’s web-based configuration interface.

Project Settings

On the Project Settings tab, configure the project you want to integrate with chat bots. This includes:

  • selecting the project
  • choosing the work item type for tasks
  • setting the priority
  • defining the statuses that will be considered as “closed” for an issue

Telegram Settings

Go to the Telegram tab to configure interaction settings with Telegram.

On the nested Integration tab, enter the Telegram bot token and define the issue summary template.

Additional Settings

The Message Processing and Notifications tabs contain additional settings that control how messages are handled and how the plugin behaves during interaction with Telegram.

Once the project and Telegram settings are configured and saved, the plugin is ready to use.
